If you take the Sapa trek make sure you buy some friendship bracelets from the children. You can view a photo of these in this set. The children make the bracelets and they sell them for a few cents each. The idea is to buy a bracelet, tie it to your arm and leave it there until it falls off. Every time you look at it you'll be be reminded of the minority tribes and your visit to Sapa. They make great gifts to take home and share with your family and friends as they promote these area of North Vietnam where tourists are welcome and needed.
