Cantho is the capital of the Cantho province and as such is the administrative hub for the Mekong Delta. The city has a friendly buzz about it and has beautiful wide boulevards. The city has a lovely water front park which has many nice walking paths around it and a big shady pavilion. There are quite a number of hotels ranging in price according to what they offer. The street stalls sometimes trade beyond their permitted limits and it is amazing to see how quickly they disappear when they learn the police are on the way.
