The Mekong Delta region produces rice, sugar cane, fish and many exotic fruits. Collective farming is not longer practised and farmers can now produce for themselves and to make money by the sale of the food. Every inch of the Delta appears to be under cultivation and the soil produces excellent food.

Drying clothes in the warm humid sun. Local commuter boat. The Mekong is a splendid place to visit. People on shore wave to us as we pass. Dredging the river is an ongoing necessity.
