The Mekong Delta tour is a "must do" for Vietnam. You can take the tour combining bus and boat (I chose this option) or alternatively go by boat. The Mekong Delta is a very rich agricultural region and much of the food that the south consumes comes from this area. The sediment in the Mekong River is replete in many nutrients needed for growing food and plant life. The Mekong Delta is very flat and it can get hot and humid.
