After the visit to Titop Island the houseboat travels a short distance and drops anchor for the evening. Other houseboats also spend the night in this area but they are not intrusive. We were able to sit on the top deck and watch the sun go down as we enjoyed drinks and snacks. As the sun was setting we noticed a rainbow forming about the edge of a large rain cloud. It was captivating as I had never seen a cloud with a rainbow border before. With the boat anchored it was time for swimming. Halong Bay appears to be free of sharks and there have been no reports of attacks in these waters. Life doesn't get much better than this.
